Trip overview: The program of Journey to the forgotten tribe of Burma will bring you to Myanmar’s incredible four destinations of Yangon , Bagan , Mandalay and Inle and then the we are to explore the forgotten tribe of Burma in Loikaw & environs, which includes a remote excursion to the few vanishing “Kayaw tribe” remaining in the remote area of Loikaw .. Photographing the highlights of Yangon including, Indiatown, Chinatown and a sunset shoot of Sin Oodan jetty and the gold Shwedagon Pagoda and street photography. Shooting village photos, a number of thousands of Buddhist monuments and ruins of Bagan from the secret corner of Bagan. Chasing the Buddhist monk procession going around the typical village.Exclusive admission to the most beautiful wooden monastery in Mandalay for photographing Buddhist monk with special arrangement, hanging around the stone carving area.,Special access to Buddhist Nunnery where to make the great portrait of Buddhist NunsIconic sunrise shots at famous wooden U Bein Bridge. Visit to Inle lake for amazing photography opportunity.Shooting selected long necked women in Loikaw and , Special access to the less known tribe of Burma “ Kayaw Tribe” in remote area of Loikaw .

Day 1:Yangon Arrival by morning flight & sightseeing by car( L , D )

On arrival at the Yangon airport, You will meet your tour guide after clearing immigration and customs control at Airport, Depending on your flight’s arrival time at International Airport and our group departure from Airport then we have options to start exploring the highlights of Yangon with a first visit to Kalaywa Tawya Monastery with the resident of over 500 Buddhist monks in the monastery compound where you will have a chance to see the daily monastic activities like showering , learning and have lunch ( the last meal of the day around 11:00 am ). After that we will have a break for welcoming lunch at one of the good local restaurant and then transfer to your hotel for check in and a chance to freshen up and relax till after noon sightseeing . (Notice : Hotel Check in time is 14: 00 pm ). 15:00 pm – Get together in Hotel Lobby for group orientation and briefing about entire trip by local tour guide and tour leader

Around 15:30 pm , we’ll leave hotel and head right out to Little India town, ( approximately 15 or 20 minutes drive from your hotel ) where Yangon’s Indian shopkeepers compete and collaborate with their Burmese counterparts to sell the most amazing mix of items — old, obsolete, broken, second-hand and sometimes even new! — right off the pavement. (If you have a few missing letters on your 20-year-old laptop’s keyboard, or need an ancient old Bakelite lamp-switch, you’ll find replacements here!) As the sun drops, our thoughts inevitably turn to one of the wonders of the religious world: Shwedagon, the famed Golden Pagoda. Photographing Shwedagon is anything you want it to be. There are challenging but still interesting to observe and shoot different religious activities of all Buddhist people. Free shooting around the pagoda platform will be done till sun is completely down. Then have a dinner at good local restaurant then drive back to hotel and overnight stay at Chatrium Hotel Royal Lake . Yangon. ( The sunset might be around 17:30 pm )

Day 2:Yangon / Bagan by early morning flight and sightseeing in Bagan by car ( B,L,D )

We’ll wake up in Yangon but for now Yangon must wait: we’ll be back later to explore its highlights. Our mission today lies in Bagan, so bright and early we catch our short air-hop across to Bagan — where some fabulous shooting awaits. After early breakfast, transfer to the Yangon airport for your flight to Bagan, upon arrival to Bagan, directly proceed to local Nyaung Oo Market in search of the wonderful moments of daily life and interactions between people.

After that a visit to Shwezigon pagoda a 1,000-year-old Buddhist stupa whose glittering golden bell-shape dome became a model for pagodas throughout Burma ( Where the great chance for shooting at long corridor with the shadow of concrete pillars ) . Then take a lunch break at good local restaurant and then take a little break at hotel for refreshing and relaxing before afternoon sightseeing. Afternoon sightseeing begin hanging around the Sularmuni Temple and shooting the farm animals coming back in group on the dusty road near the Sularmuni Temple, then sunset shots from one of the best corner of Bagan . Then have a dinner at good local restaurant and overnight stay at Myanmar Treasure Hotel in Bagan .

Day 3: Bagan sightseeing by car ( B ,L ,D )

This morning, Optional sunrise shot and early morning sunrise shots from ground level before dawn . after breakfast we’ll explore Bagan and its environs from ground level. Grand discoveries and opportunities await! Especially we are to visit to typical local village namely West Pwar Saw village to capture meaningful portraits of local old woman with very distinguished face, hanging around the behind the scene of the village, explore the traditional lacquer ware workshop and capture the slices of rural life and then lunch break and relax and rejuvenate energy and enthusiasm for afternoon shooting. In the evening, we’re off to one of our special Bagan spots to shoot silhouettes shots of local people with special arrangement till sunset . (dinner at local restaurant and overnight stay at Myanmar Treasure Resort in Bagan.

Day 4:Bagan –Mandalay by car ( Via Myin Gyan ) ( B , L , D )

Today after breakfast at hotel ,we are heading off to Mandalay from Bagan by passing the beautiful countryside of Myanmar –( Approximately It will take four hours by car to Mandalay ) , On the way to Mandalay – We are to take a short break at some nice sport for the beautiful landscape shots – Upon our arrival at Mandalay , we are to drive straight to Sagaing in Sagaing where we are making the most iconic photos of young Buddhist nuns praying, meditating with special arrangement . after that we are drive straight up to Sagaing hill ,on the way we are to drop in U Hmin Thone Zae Pagoda and then drive straight up to Sagaing Hill to enjoy the scenic view of its environ. Then drive straight back to restaurant for lunch . After lunch , we are driving back to the street of stone-sculptors, where men attack blocks of white marble with drills and angle-grinders. From the clouds of marble-dust emerge Buddha likenesses in all shapes and sizes to address Burma’s seemingly insatiable appetite for these religious icons .Mandalay’s Mahamuni Pagoda, with its ancient Buddha statue, draws us next. The statue is traditionally held to be one of the only five likenesses of the Buddha in existence and the pagoda is therefore especially revered. Simply walking down the main hallway approaching the central pagoda is an experience! — Past fortune-tellers and stalls selling religious knick-knacks, in the footsteps . after that directly proceed to U Bein Bridge, at 1.2km the world’s longest teak footbridge. It’s a hugely photogenic structure. It stretches across Thaungthaman Lake it comes alive in every sense as Dust approaches.. you’ll have captured dozens of great images: after making the classic shots near by the wooden bridge. Then drive back to Mandalay and have a dinner before check in at hotel in Mandalay.Overnight stay at Eastern Palace Hotel , Mandalay.

Day 5:Mandalay / Heho by flight ( around 09:00 am ) & sightseeing in Inle by boat ( B,L,D )

After breakfast at hotel , we are to check out hotel and drive straight to Mandalay International Airport ( 48 km away – approximately 1 hr drive ) to fly to Heho for a visit to Inle lake , upon arrival to Heho, directly drive straight to Shweyan Pyan Wooden Monastery, famous for Oval shaped window, still having a chance for clients who is sill enthusiastic to make the perfect shots of Buddhist monks there. Then directly proceed to Nyaung Shwe which is major gateway to Inle lake and lunch break at local restaurant In Nyaung Shwe. After lunch , transfer to jetty in Nyaung Shwe and then take a boat ride to hotel for check in and have a short break. Afternoon sightseeing start visiting to traditional hand weaving workshop in Inn Paw Khone Village known as the weaving village of Inle lake – Free shooting would be done in the weaving factory till you are happy with you photos – Lotus Fabric ( Unique product of Inle lake as well as Myanmar ) , Silk and cottons fabric are mainly woven traditionally and manually in the factories of the village ), after that we are to float around the typical floating village called Pauk Par Village to have a chance of shooting unique way of life and life styles of People and we are to visit one of local house in the village to connect you with the local family for chatting and shooting .then hanging around the fishermen for shooting fishermen fishing naturally before sun is down . then drive back to hotel and have a dinner at hotel . overnight stay at Myanmar Treasuer Resort .Inle lake .

Day 6:Inle sightseeing by boat ( B ,L,D)

Morning sunrise shots with Buddhist Novices rowing the boats around Village ( It should be organized ) This kind of photos would be unique like no other . then a visit to one of local house , chatting and shooting . Lunch break and take a little break at hotel . In the afternoon , A visit to a village of weaving factory to shoot the factory workers . and then finish the last sunset shots of Inle lake and overnight stay at Shwe Inn Tha Floating Resort, Inle lake .

Day 7: Inle – Sakar Phaw Kone – Phae Kone by four hours boat ride and one hour drive to Loiakw ( B , L , D )

Start from Nyaung Shwe town (commercial center of Heho), we will start our boat trip to Hpe-Kom, the last lake of Inle. On the way we will visit Sagar village, famous for more than 400 pagodas and stupas on its land. Have lunch on the lake and continue our boat ride to Hpe-Kom. Admire the beautiful, lush scenery on boat side of this lake. Inle´s calm waters are dotted with floating vegetation, fishing canoes and bamboo houses will free your hassle away. We will reach Hpe-kom and after 1 hour driving, arrive Loikaw, the capical of Kayah State. Check in hotel in Loikaw, we will visit the Kayah museum to study the traditional way of living of the Kayah people. At late evening, we will proceed to Thiri Mingalar Taung Kwe Zedi, the landmark of the Kayah State, to enjoy panoramic view of Loikaw and its surroundings at sunset time. We will then have dinner and overnight in Loikaw.

Day 8: Loikaw – Panpat Village by car & light trekking ( B ,L, D )

After breakfast, one hour drive to Padaung native village called “Pan-pet”. In this old village, only the Padaung races are living. We will seed their traditional clothing and long ring deceration on their neck, lad and hand. Not only thise traditinla clothing but also we will see autherntic way of lift of Padaung people in the village. After lunch, we will make another one and half hour scenice driving to old Kayar village which lines far from the city. This village is one of the unique old villages of the orginal trip called Kayar tribe in their Kayar state. Most of the women are still using their traditional clothes as in the picture. In the late evening, return to Liokaw Dinner will be at a restaurant and overnight stay at Kayah Resort in Loikaw .

Day 9:Loikaw – Ka YawVillage by car & light trekking ( B ,L,D )

After breakfast, two and half hour drive to Ka Yaw village this is lesser known village as well as visited by visitors .special permission required to access to this village and the road condition to this village is good but narrow with twist and turns . Ka Yaw Tribe living the village still keep their tradition and they live on farming and weaving . Shooting the iconic photo of Ka Yaw Tribe shall be done around the local house of the village with the help of local guide . picnic lunch shall be arranged at local house in the village . In the late afternoon , we are heading back to Loikaw and dinner is arranged at hotel . Overnight stay at Kayah Resort in Loikaw .

Day 10: Loikaw / Yangon by morning flight & Yangon departure by late afternoon flight ( B,L )

This morning after breakfast in Loikaw , we are heading off to Loikaw airport to fly back to Yangon . Upon arrival to Yangon , we are to continue the remaining highlights of Yangon for shooting until you will be seen off at Yangon International Airport for your onward destination .
